The Winner from Megabucks Claims his Prize
By Joni Hawk, Sep 7th 2006In Augusta, Maine according to the Portland Press Herald: "The owner of the $8.45 million Megabucks ticket that was sold at D & L Country Store in Oakland claimed the winnings that were entitled to him, but the winner's personality remained a big mystery. The biggest Megabucks jackpot in five years will be given to the winner on Friday, Maine State Lottery Director Dan Gwadosky declared. We can say that the winner lives in the Oakland area and apparently is very interested in claiming the prize, he added."
"My good judgment tells me that this individual has spent some time receiving some financial counsel," Gwadosky commented.
"The lottery director also added that the person might never be identified. So in order to receive the money incognito, the winner could ask an attorney to accept it into a trust fund..."
